ATTENTION – THIS IS A NEW DATE FOR THIS EVENT,
DIFFERENT FROM THE DATE SENT OUT IN JUNE
The Guidance Department at Monument Mountain Regional High School invites you to our College Planning Night on Tuesday, September 19th in our cafeteria. There will be two separate sessions and each will focus on a different aspect of college planning.
Beginning at 6pm we will be going over how to do a college search, how to set up an interview and tour at a college, testing requirements (SAT’s, AP’s, etc.), PSAT sign-ups, how to attend a college fair, the importance of a resume and how to build one, and we will be reviewing how to use the Naviance Program. This session is designed for juniors and their families (however freshman and sophomores who want to get a head start are invited as well).
Beginning at 7:30pm we will go over information regarding the application process, admissions terms, testing, transcripts, recommendations, and more. If you are a senior planning on applying to college then this is an important session for you and your parent(s)/guardian(s) to attend.
Note for Seniors: The College Board has set the 2017-18 test dates with the first one being on August 26, 2017, as we indicated in our letter to you in June. The next test date is October 7, 2017 with a sign up deadline of September 8, 2017. If this will be the first time you take an SAT then go onto www.sat.org/register to create an account and register. If you have already taken as SAT then you can register for another test through your account.
