Monument Students & Families –
As Superintendent Dillon shared, the district schools will be closed beginning on Monday, March 16 for two weeks. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide regular updates. From 8:00-11:00 am on Monday, Nurse Becki and Nurse Patrick will be at Monument Valley for all District families to pick up medication or medical equipment. If you are unable to come during that time, please reach out to your building principal. After that time the buildings will be closed to the public. We will respond to phone calls and emails throughout our closure.
Until we update families on the start of classes again, students can access materials to keep up to date on skills and content. Please see the Monument Mountain webpage (https://mmrhs.bhrsd.org/) for the link on our homepage for information from each teacher. Students can complete the work to stay current. The work will be used in class once they return to school.
All out of school activities have been cancelled or postponed. This includes SATs, spring sports, the spring musical, Project Connection, MMTV, all field trips, all internships and the College Fair. Please check our school calendar for the most up to date information. (https://mmrhs.bhrsd.org/calendar/)
As this situation develops, we will update families on new information and details. Please look for emails next week from the superintendent and from the principals. We are very concerned about the health and safety of our students and families, and are responding to the situation with an overabundance of caution. Please reach out to me or the office if you have questions or concerns.
