How do I register for a MMRHS athletic team?

What should we be doing as a family in the pre-season to ensure we are ready to go for the upcoming athletic season?

  • Besides signing up through FamilyID  Before any student can participate in an athletic program at Monument, the following requirements must be met:

  • All students MUST have an updated (within 13 months) physical exam on file with the school nurse. Students with expired physicals will not be permitted to participate in practices or contests until a new physical exam has been turned in. Please realize that your physical can expire during the sports season; plan ahead to avoid missing any practices/contests.  Urgent Care in Pittsfield is giving physicals often on the same day requested.

  • All students must have an up to date impact test. They are valid for 2 years after the test date. This is a cognitive baseline test that the doctor will use as a reference in the event of a concussion. Impact testing will now be done at home this year. Email karl.zigmand@bhrsd.org for the Impact test code. All 9th grade and 11th grade students need to take the Impact test prior to starting practice/games.

Regular Season

Where can I find the game schedule for all of the MMRHS athletic teams?

MMRHS is part of the PVIAC (Pioneer Valley Interscholastic Athletic Conference)

  • MMRHS football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, baseball and softball teams are all part of the PVIAC. For example, MMRHS boys soccer is part of the PVIAC Churchill Division along with schools: Agawam, Pittsfield, Westfield, Pope Francis and Mt. Greylock. A complete list of MMRHS PVIAC leagues can be found on the PVIAC site.

  • MMRHS also competes in the PVIAC Western MA tournament at the conclusion of each PVIAC regular season. For example, the MMRHS girls soccer team is in class B with other PVIAC member schools. Each class is based on competitive balance and not enrollment. Western MA tournament formats for all MMRHS teams.

  • MMRHS golf, cross country, wrestling, alpine skiing, hockey, and track and field all compete in a Berkshire County league with the other member schools: Mt. Everett, Lee, Lenox, Pittsfield schools, Wahconah, Hoosac, Drury and Mt. Greylock
